Welcome to the interactive spot on the W-L Highland Ranch website. This will be where we chronicle

stories of our homesteading adventures that will hopefully be informative and fun.  From time to time,

we will also share favorite recipes and tips and ideas for various things.  The first few may be rough

while we enter the world of blogging as newbies so feel free to laugh at any and all mistakes we might

make while learning.

My journey into homesteading and natural living began as a child living on a farm without television or video games.  I became a Registered Nurse in 1996. As the saying goes, 'You can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl.'  Now I am married to a man who loves history and all things old who came from Anaheim, California, but always wanted to live on a ranch.  Ron joined the Marine Corps in 1987 and then the Army in 1996. Ron's time in the military ended with him in Kansas where he decided it was home. We have 3 children; Gina, Chellie, And Theron.
